APi ELECTRIC WORKED TO COMPLETE THE LAKEVIEW BUILDING - DULUTH, MINNESOTA

APi Electric worked to complete the Lakeview Building, a four-story, 73,000 square foot medical facility located at 1001 East Superior Street, Duluth, Minnesota.

The Lakeview Building includes a cancer care center, infectious disease level, outpatient services, and an internal medicine floor.

Linear Accelerator

APi Electric was in charge of the fire alarm system and all electrical work.

The cancer care center included a Varian linear accelerator, a device that generates high-energy X rays and electrons for cancer treatment.

Conduits in the accelerator room were designed to prevent stray radiation from exiting the room. With the walls being 8" thick concrete, the exact placements of conduits were critical.

The C.T. scanner room is surrounded by a lead liner. To prevent drilling holes in the walls, APi Electric used under floor ducts to run wiring.
